ICC
established a home in Mexico in the early 1990's and
now our childrens village there is one of our larger
projects with four homes for children now and one home
which is being used for staff housing. We are currently
building an administration building and further homes
for children will be constructed as and when the need
arises.
Currently
we have 49 children.
They
attend school in the village of Valle de la Trinidad
which is 5 kilometers from our campus. Since at the
current time we do not need a school on campus, we are
building an education center to be used for tutoring,
computer education and future vocational training. If
at some point we start a school on our campus we will
already have the facility.

Our short term future plans are to start an agriculture
program since we have excellent land for this with plenty
of water to irrigate. We are located in a valley used
for truck farming. The challenge that we face in this
area is a type of gopher that eats the plants and trees
from the roots and pulls them under until they disappear.
We have a few chickens but hope to increase this and
also add a few milk cows. We are also planning on starting
a bakery for income for the project. We have a small
garden area for the children to work in, and a donor
and volunteer group have planted fruit trees and shade
trees in each yard and along the road to the homes.
Someday our desert campus will be a true oasis.
Our long term plans are to have all 10 homes open,
several staff homes and a gymnasium built.
