There
Are Three Projects In Guatamal
The Los Pinos childrens village has 165 boys and girls.
The receiving centre cares for 36 children and the Las
Lajas vocational school has 300 students.

City Centre
This
receiving center in the capital city receives orphaned
and abandoned children. The majority of them are infants
from just a few days old to four and five years old.
Children are processed here for adoption or for the
orphan homes in Poptun. Currently the Center has about
50 children. The staff includes a social worker, nurses,
and a physician.
Los
Pinos Childrens Village
This
Children's Country Village has 11 homes with 10-12
orphan children in each one. It was established in1978
on the mission academy campus. Plans for 10 additional
homes have been made. Construction of these began
in 1997.
ICAP
- Instituto de Capacitacion Adventista del Peten
ICAP is a secondary school with vocational options
for the students. The Los Pinos orphan homes are located
on the campus so that this school cares for the educational
needs of the orphans. ICAP originally was operated
by the mission. In 1991 ICC agreed to assume the management
of the school. Today nearly 300 students are enrolled.
