This Children's Country Village is a cluster of ten
orphan homes housing approximately 150 children. It
was established in 1982. The campus facilities include
an elementary school, a village church, a children's
chapel, a farm, a bakery and an administration building.
Recently,
we received a donation from the foundation, Versacare,
for our school of music. With that we bought instruments
such as violins, sweet flutes (transverse), a piano,
violas, drums, etc. This has allowed some 65 children
and young people to receive an excellent musical education,
helping one of their biggest dreams to come true.
In
November 2003, 2 of our young people graduated from
university. It was truly a heart-warming experience,
as we contemplated where these chldren came from and
how successful they have become.

The 16th of November, we celebrated the wedding of
one of our young ladies, Miss Ruth Gonzalez Perez, with
the young man, Pastor Julio Segura Zarzuela. It was
a very special occasion for the entire ICC family. Ruth
came to the Hogar when she was 13 years old under very
difficult circumstances. She had to run away from her
father’s house because this man, a rich and powerful
man, rejected her and physically abused her. She is
very grateful to ICC for giving her a home, which has
made her the person she is today.
We have a place on campus was prepared for the boys
and girls to receive medical and dental care and psychological
counseling. This has allowed our kids to be better cared
for.
Now we are faced with the challenge of preparing an
area where we can have at least six beds for special
medical attention when needed, instead of having to
take sick kids to a medical center in town. Please help
us with this if you can.
A warm room was constructed in our bakery, and we
purchased a rotating gas oven with enough capacity to
allow us to keep up with the market demand for the present
and we project for the next eight years.
